"The time is always right to do what's right." - Dr. Martin Luther King

In addition to personal development coaching I also specialize in inclusivity and antiracist coaching for leaders.

Every person in your organization must come to understand that there is a role for them in the work of justice, equity, diversity, inclusion (JEDI) and antiracism.  And every component of this work is actionable, it isn't enough to sit around and discuss that "things must change".

The responsibility of leaders is unique because they are tasked with guiding their team and the organization. From the seat they sit in it is imperative that they not only talk about the importance of JEDI and antiracist work, but they must also model the importance of it through their behavior. Organizational leadership must engage in the work alongside everyone else. Many executives have the necessary values, empathy, and personal motivation to lead inclusively but the discomfort and fear of doing or saying the wrong thing keeps them from fully engaging. Leading inclusively requires people to get off the fence and action their values.

I know without a doubt that unlearning old ways of being and doing is the most difficult part of learning, but it's the only way that we can become a better version of ourselves. With the support and personalized attention of a JEDI and antiracist coachsmith executives can learn to push beyond what’s comfortable and increase their confidence to step into the role of being inclusive leaders. Doing so will ultimately make a difference in the long-term success of your organization on a number of key levels including retention and business results.
